These are actually insane sandals because the thermo plastic urethane (TPU) footbed has great traction. It also feels pretty cool on your foot (almost like you are getting a massage). O'Neill added a much nicer strap for 2008 with an anatomically fitted nu buck strap that is lined with neoprene. The midsole is super sponge EVA so it is plenty comfortable. O'Neill also put their highest traction girdray gum outsole on this style. The Gyro is a great sandal that is truely unique to O'Neill.
