The Chengu is a new style for 2010 from Reef. I have a feeling that this will be a big part of their program for several years to come. It is just the right blend of casual and technical for everyday wear. The big new feature in this sandal is Reef's introduction of an asymetrical strap. The idea is that the thicker inside of your foot needs more comfort and support - so the strap actually wraps in at the arch - while the other side is further back. I've tested these and it make a surprisingly noticeable difference in comfort. The body of this sandal is soft molded EVA with a textured footbed. The strap itself is made from dependable Nubuck with a lycra lining on the inside. The outsole has plenty of grip. I would definately recommend you try this as your everyday go-to sandals.
