The 5th Element Darwin Ski package includes skis and bindings that will help your talent and ability evolve. With an 85mm waist the 5th Element Darwin skis start with a very stable and predictable platform for athletic beginners up through intermediate skiers with a full wood core and full sidewall construction, the Darwin transforms into a poppy light ski with ferocious edge hold. The combined result is a ski that is happy skidding and sliding but as skills progress, it will rip turns and feel very sturdy and predictable on edge. To further amplify the edge hold the Darwin is traditionally cambered, so no matter how hard the snow pack gets, it will always have edge hold. The Darwin even gets a little flare with a full twin tip profile allowing it to be very playful and comfortable in the terrain park for the more gutsy guy out there. The Marker Free Ten bindings features a DIN range of 3-10 is perfect for the smaller, or less aggressive freeskiier. The lightest binding of it's kind, it is designed around a minimum ski width of 76mm. Featuring Marker's Triple Pivot Compact Toe, sole holder rollers, and a gliding AFD the Free Ten offers all the retention and release capabilities Marker is known for. The Freeride Brake sits up higher when the boot is engaged so you don't have to worry about catching your brake. The Free Ten has a shorter, but wider platform to give modern skis the torsional power, and deeper flex than other bindings. The Hollow Linkage Heel is based around a hollow aluminum axle, which saves weight but also provides maximum torsional stiffness.
